ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET contains Desvenlafaxine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidepressants. It is used in adults to manage major depressive disorder. Major depressive disorder (also known as clinical depression) is a mental health disorder characterized by persistant depressed mood, lack of interest, feeling of guilt, sleep disturbances or sucidial thoughts for a prolonged period (more than 2 weeks) that causes significant impairment in performing day-to-day activities.
Take ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET for the stipulated duartion mentioned by your doctor. Although, you might feel improvement in your condition after 2 weeks of therapy with ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET, it may take several weeks for ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET to deliver complete benefits. Therefore, continue to take ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET for the stipulated duration recommended by your doctor even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy.
Before taking ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have high blood fat levels or any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have or have a family history of bipolar disorder, mania or epilepsy. Do not take ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor.
Talk to your doctor if you are currently taking other antidepressant medicines (such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Ex. isocarboxazid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine)) while taking ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET. You must also inform your doctor if you have taken any antidepressant (especially monoamine oxidase inhibitor) within the last 14 days.
ZYVEN OD 100MG TABLET may make you feel dizzy or sleepy. Therefore, do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines that requires complete concentration.
