ZYNOL 150MG TABLET contains Ranitidine which belongs to the group of medicines called H2 receptor antagonists. It is used in the management of intestinal, benign and post-operative ulcers. Peptic or intestinal ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper part of your small intestine, causing stomach pain.
ZYNOL 150MG TABLET is also used to manage reflux oesophagitis (inflammation of lower food pipe due to backflow of acidic stomach contents) and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome (small tumour in the first part of your intestine due to excessive gastrin secretion).
Your doctor may occasionally perform tests to make sure ZYNOL 150MG TABLET is working and to manage side effects. Visit your doctor routinely for a check-up.
Avoid smoking during the management with ZYNOL 150MG TABLET, as it may delay healing or worsen the ulcers. Before taking ZYNOL 150MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have stomach cancer, kidney, lung or immunity problems, porphyria (rare blood disorder) or diabetes.
ZYNOL 150MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless your doctor finds it essential. For children, your doctor will determine a proper dose depending on your child’s age, body weight and disease condition. Contact your doctor if you experience any side effects or if any of the symptoms worsen.
