ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET contains Zolpidem, which belongs to the group of medicines known as Hypnotics. It is used in the short-term management of insomnia (sleeping disorder) in adults (above 18 years of age). The person with insomnia problems may have difficulty in sleeping, staying awake, or staying asleep, waking up too early etc.
ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who have or had myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), severe liver diseases, severe breathing problems, sleep apnoea (serious breathing problem while sleeping), psychosis (mental illness), somnambulism (sleepwalking) or abnormal behaviours after taking hypnotic medication in past.
ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients suffering from any heart problems which include irregular heartbeat, depression, or any other mental illness, in patients suffering from kidney disease, and in patients who have a history of alcohol and drug abuse.
ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women. ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients above age 65 years. The common side effects of taking ZOLPINITE 5MG TABLET are impaired memory, hallucinations, sleeping problems that might get worse, headache, nightmares, nausea, vomiting, feeling drowsy during the day, etc. Consult your doctor immediately if any of your side effects get worse or if you experience abnormal behaviour or develop suicidal thoughts.
