ZOFIX O is a combination of Cefixime and ofloxacin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in adults to manage typhoid fever (an infection caused by Salmonella typhi, accompanied by high fever, stomach pain, headache, and diarrhea).
ZOFIX O is also used to manage bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (Ex.
tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and bronchitis), middle ear (otitis media), reproductive organs (gonorrhea), and urinary tract.
Before taking ZOFIX O, inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or kidney problems, diabetes, or fits. ZOFIX O is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Avoid consumption of alcohol during management with ZOFIX O, as it may impair your ability to concentrate and react. The most common side effects of taking ZOFIX O are indigestion, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, etc. Consult your doctor immediately if any of the symptoms worsen.
