ZOFIX 200MG TABLET is used in the management of bacterial infections. It is used for short-term management of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin and soft-tissue, ear, bone, blood, abdomen, genital and lungs (pneumonia). It is also used to reduce the risk of getting infections after surgery.
It contains a medicine called
Cefixime
, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria by interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall and eventually killing the bacteria.
Take ZOFIX 200MG TABLET for the stipulated duration instructed by your doctor even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy to achieve better results. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.
ZOFIX 200MG TABLET is suitable for use both in adults and in children aged 10 years or older. However, consult your doctor for advice before taking it.
Before taking ZOFIX 200MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any stomach problems or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking ZOFIX 200MG TABLET as a precaution.
The most common side effects of taking ZOFIX 200MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, and bloating. Inform your doctor if they trouble you.
