ZEDOTT BABY contains Racecadotril which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiarrheals. It is indicated in the management of acute diarrhoea in children over 3 months of age along with abundant liquid intake and the usual dietary measures.
Acute diarrhea is a sudden onset of three or more loose stools per day, lasting less than 14 days. Symptoms associated with diarrhoea includes abdominal cramps and pain, nausea, vomiting and severely it may cause blood or pus in the stool.
Before giving ZEDOTT BABY to your child, inform child’s doctor if your child has kidney or liver disease, sucrose intolerance, blood or pus in stools, fever, chronic diarrhoea or diarrhoea induced by antibiotics, prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting and diabetes.
This medicine may cause side effects such as tonsillitis, rash and erythema (skin redness). Consult your child’s doctor if any of the side effects worsens or if your child experiences any unusual effects.
