ZAPIZ 0.5 TABLET contains Clonazepam which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticonvulsants. It is used to manage epilepsy (fits) in infants, children and in adults. It can also be used in the management of panic disorder and certain types of phobias (fears).
Take ZAPIZ 0.5 TABLET as directed by your physician. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor as it may cause certain unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Talk to your doctor about all the medicines that you take to manage your current illnesses.
Before taking ZAPIZ 0.5 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any problems in your liver, kidney or heart. You must also inform your doctor if you have weak muscles, trouble breathing, previous history of drug abuse, alcohol abuse or depression as a precaution.
Do not take ZAPIZ 0.5 TABLET without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects of taking ZAPIZ 0.5 TABLET are dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, weak muscles, memory loss, headache, nausea, stomach upset, hair loss and low sex drive. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect troubles you.
You must also inform your doctor immediately if you experience worsening of depression along with suicidal thoughts as a precaution.
