Xyloson P Nasal Drops is used for nasal congestion in children. It is used in the short-term symptomatic management of nasal congestion caused due to common cold, acute sinusitis, rhinitis, nasopharyngitis, acute middle ear infection. It contains Xylometazoline as active ingredient which loosens the nasal secretions thereby moisturizes the nasal cavity.
Xylometazoline works by opening the nasal passages. It cleanses the nasal cavities by reducing excessive nasal secretions and returns the swollen blood vessels to normal size. Thus, it relives a blocked nose and helps for normal breathing. It also has a water retention ability which helps to manage drying and irritation of nasal mucosa and provides further moisturization.
Always use Xyloson P Nasal Drops as directed by the physician. It is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. It is for intranasal use only. Gently instil few drops of this medicine into each nostril. Clean the dropper after each application. Do not exceed more than 3 applications into each nostril and the last application should be preferably done during the bedtime. Do not administer if your child is allergic to any of its ingredients.
