XIATRA EYE DROPS contains Travoprost, which belongs to the group of medicines called Prostaglandin analogues. It is indicated in the management of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Glaucoma is a group of diseases characterized by gradual damage to your optic nerve (the nerve that carries visual messages) that may result in loss of vision. Ocular hypertension is when the pressure in your eyes is more than the normal range, with no distinguishable changes in vision or damage to the structure of your eyes.
Prior to the management, your doctor may want you to take certain eye tests to understand your existing condition.
Before using XIATRA EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart disease, eye inflammation, had cataract surgery, or wear soft contact lenses.
XIATRA EYE DROPS is not recommended for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women. XIATRA EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in children younger than 2 months of age, therefore, consult your doctor before using it.
The most common side effects are eye redness, pain, discomfort, irritation, changes in the colour of the eye, and dry or itchy eyes. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects worsen.
