VITARESP FX MANGO FLAVOUR SUSPENSION is a combination of Fexofenadine and Montelukast which belongs to the group of medicines called Histamine H1 receptor blockers and Leukotriene receptor antagonists respectively. VITARESP FX MANGO FLAVOUR SUSPENSION is indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis in children (aged between 2-11 years). Allergic rhinitis is a heterogeneous disorder caused by allergens such as pollens, dusts, mold or flakes of skin from certain animals. It can occur seasonally or year-round and characterized by inflammation of the inner lining of nose accompanied by nasal decongestion, repeated sneezing, or a red, watery and itchy eyes. VITARESP FX MANGO FLAVOUR SUSPENSION is also used to manage asthma (narrowing of airways causing difficulty in breathing) and uncomplicated skin reactions of chronic idiopathic urticaria (an allergic reaction with itchy raised bumps on skin) in children aged between 6 months to 11 years of age. VITARESP FX MANGO FLAVOUR SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in infants (aged less than 6 months) due to lack of safety and effectiveness. It should not be used as an alternative to manage acute asthma attacks. Before administering VITARESP FX MANGO FLAVOUR SUSPENSION to your child, inform child’s doctor if your child has any lung, heart, liver or kidney problems. The most common side effects of VITARESP FX MANGO FLAVOUR SUSPENSION are dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Consult your child’s doctor if any of the side effects worsens.
