URIVOXATE 200 TABLET contains Flavoxate which belongs to the group of medicines called Urinary Antispasmodics. It is used to manage muscle spasms of the urinary tract. It can also be used to relieve the unpleasant urinary symptoms (such as excessive or painful urination or urinary incontinence) associated with any surgical or diagnostic procedures (such as cystoscopy or catheterisation).

Take URIVOXATE 200 TABLET preferably after meals or as directed by the physician. Prior to the management, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to understand your existing condition.

Before taking URIVOXATE 200 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any stomach or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any bleeding in the digestive tract, glaucoma or myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness) as a precaution.

URIVOXATE 200 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with urinary retention (unable to empty the bladder completely). It is also not suitable for use in children aged below 12 years. Inform your doctor before taking URIVOXATE 200 TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The most common side effects of taking URIVOXATE 200 TABLET are nausea, vomiting and stomach upset. These side effects can be reduced if URIVOXATE 200 TABLET is taken with meals. However, consult your doctor if they trouble you.
