TOLU XR 2MG TABLET contains Tolterodine which belongs to a group of medicines called Antimuscarinics. TOLU XR 2MG TABLET is used to manage the symptoms of overactive bladder syndrome which occur as an inability to control urination, need to rush to the toilet with no advance warning and/or to go to the toilet more frequently. Overactive bladder syndrome is a condition associated with the bladder function that causes frequent and sudden urge to urinate which may be difficult to control.
Tolterodine is an antimuscarinic which works by inhibiting the bladder contraction that causes relaxation of the muscles of the urinary bladder resulting in the management of frequent, urgent or controlled urination thus providing relief from the symptoms of overactive bladder syndrome.
Avoid taking TOLU XR 2MG TABLET, if you suffer from urinary retention (inability to pass urine), from the bladder, uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (high pressure in the eyes with loss of eyesight), myasthenia gravis (excessive weakness of the muscles), severe ulcerative colitis (ulceration and inflammation of the colon). Before taking TOLU XR 2MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have difficulties in passing urine, hiatal hernia (a condition marked by the bulging of the upper part of stomach), and/or have heart, kidney, and liver disease. TOLU XR 2MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. The medicine is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18years). The most common symptoms of taking TOLU XR 2MG TABLET are dry mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, headache, dry eyes, and blurred vision. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms gets worse.
