TIPANAT 15 TABLET is used to manage adults with colon cancer or rectal cancer (colorectal cancer). It is used when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. It is also used when other treatments have not worked or when other treatments are not suitable. TIPANAT 15 TABLET is a combination of Tipiracil and Trifluridine which belongs to the group of medicines known as Antineoplastic Agent which interferes with DNA in cancer cells to stop them from making new cancer cells. Tipiracil stops trifluridine from being broken down by enzymes before it can act.
Before taking TIPANAT 15 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have or had radiation treatment for your cancer, intolerance to galactose or the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. TIPANAT 15 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
TIPANAT 15 TABLET is not suitable for the use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. The most common side effects of TIPANAT 15 TABLET are weakness, feeling tired, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, indigestion and common cold. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects persists for a longer duration.
