SUNEPHRINE H EYE DROPS is a combination of Homatropine and Phenylephrine which belongs to the group of medicines called Mydriatics and Cycloplegics. It is used for dilation of pupil in the pre-operative and post-operative states when mydriasis and cycloplegia are required.
Mydriasis occurs when an individual’s pupils (the black opening in the center of the eye that regulates light entry), become dilated, or larger. Cycloplegia is the paralysis of the ciliary muscle of the eye resulting in dilatation of the pupil and paralysis of accommodation.
SUNEPHRINE H EYE DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of SUNEPHRINE H EYE DROPS depending upon your child’s age, condition, and body weight. The most common side effects of using SUNEPHRINE H EYE DROPS are local irritation, stinging and burning. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.
