Sensodent KF Dental Gel is a medicated foaming gel which is used to manage dentinal or tooth hypersensitivity (increased pain when a tooth comes in contact with hot, cold, sweet or acidic substances). It contains potassium nitrate and sodium monofluorophosphate as active ingredients that help to improve dental health.
Potassium nitrate reduces the tooth sensitivity by collecting potassium onto the tooth surface, which forms a layer that desensitizes a vast number of nerves inside the tooth, hence making them unresponsive to any outward environment.
Sodium monofluorophosphate exerts its anti caries action by strengthening the tooth enamel. It manages the enamel (topmost layer of tooth) from getting demineralized (degraded) along with ensuring the remineralization (improvement in structure) of the previously degraded teeth.
Always use Sensodent KF Dental Gel as advised by your dentist. It is only for dental usage and is not meant to be swallowed. Children below the age of 7 are not recommended to use Sensodent KF Dental Gel.
