SCARAZE GEL(TOPICAL) is used to manage scars resulting from accidental injuries, cuts, burns, surgery, acne, stretch marks, and breast amputations. It is also used to diminish redness, swelling, and pain in the affected area.
SCARAZE GEL(TOPICAL) is a combination of Allantoin, Cepae Extract, and Heparin Sodium that belongs to the group of medicines called Skin protectants, Anti-scarring agents, and Anticoagulants. It inhibits the growth of scar tissue and softens scar tissue. Allantoin is a skin protectant that moisturizes the skin and relieves minor irritation; Cepae, or onion extract, is an anti-scar medicine that works by suppressing the activity of chemicals responsible for inflammation (swelling) and hypertrophic scarring (thickened skin) after injury or burn; and Heparin is an anticoagulant that dissolves blood clots and promotes blood flow at the injured site for faster and better healing.
SCARAZE GEL(TOPICAL) should be used with caution by pregnant and breastfeeding women. SCARAZE GEL(TOPICAL) is not recommended for use in children below 1 year of age. Consult your doctor before using it.
The most common side effects of using SCARAZE GEL(TOPICAL) are itching, redness, visible dilation of blood vessels, and shrinking of scar tissue. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
