ROXID 100MG LIQUID contains Roxithromycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial infections in children such as respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia), ENT infections (pharyngitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media), skin infections (folliculitis, furuncles, carbuncles, cellulitis, pyoderma, impetigo, infected dermatitis) and genital infections (urethritis, prostatitis, cervicitis, salpingitis)
Prior to the management, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to examine your child’s existing condition. Consult your doctor before giving ROXID 100MG LIQUID to your child.
ROXID 100MG LIQUID is not recommended for use in children having liver impairment. Consult your doctor before giving ROXID 100MG LIQUID to your child.
It should be used with caution among children with heart disease like cardiac arrythmias or irregular heartbeat. Consult your doctor before giving ROXID 100MG LIQUID.
ROXID 100MG LIQUID should be used with caution in children and adolescents (2 months to 15 years of age). Your doctor will prescribe the right dose and duration depends on your child’s age, body weight and severity of the infection.
ROXID 100MG LIQUID may cause minor side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea although not everybody gets them. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.
