REPANEXT M 2 TABLET is a combination of Repaglinide and Metformin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetic agents. It is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are already managed with Meglitinide and Metformin or who have inadequate glycemic control on a Meglitinide alone or Metformin.
During course of the management your doctor might regularly monitor your blood glucose level and kidney function test at regular intervals to avoid any untoward side effects. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking REPANEXT M 2 TABLET.
REPANEXT M 2 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with cardiac, kidney or respiratory failure, impaired liver or kidney function, diabetic ketoacidosis, type-1 diabetes mellitus and if you are dehydrated. Before taking REPANEXT M 2 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any planned major surgery.
REPANEXT M 2 TABLET should not be used in pregnant women and breastfeeding women. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and it should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
The most common side effect of taking REPANEXT M 2 TABLET are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and taste disturbances. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
