RED TAR Solution is an antiseptic scalp lotion used to provide relief from scalp itchiness, scaling, redness and discomfort associated with skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It contains coal tar and salicylic acid as active ingredients.
Coal tar and salicylic acid are keratolytic agents. They remove dry, scaly dead cells from the scalp surface, leading to skin peeling followed by the formation of fresh, newer skin cells.
Wet hair and scalp and apply the required quantity of RED TAR Solution. Massage gently and rinse with water. Avoid contact of RED TAR Solution with your eyes or on any open wounds. In case of accidental contact, wash with plenty of water.
Before using RED TAR Solution inform your doctor if you have any skin conditions like psoriasis and receiving topical managements (like UV radiations) for the same.
RED TAR Solution should be used only under careful medical supervision. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you, based on your health condition. Only use RED TAR Solution for the stipulated duration mentioned by your doctor. Do not use it for prolonged period without consulting your doctor.
Also, inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your condition or if your condition worsens after using RED TAR Solution. RED TAR Solution can increase the tendency of sun burn. Therefore, while going outdoors, protect your skin and hair from direct sun exposure.
