RARICAP TABLET is a combination of Elemental iron and Folic acid, which belongs to the group of medicines called Haematinics. It is used to manage anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Anaemia is a condition that occurs when the number of healthy red blood cells in your body is too low.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine. RARICAP TABLET is not recommended for use if you have hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis (iron overload), hemolytic anaemias, gastrointestinal ulcers, or are receiving repeated blood transfusions.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have or had epilepsy, cirrhosis or other liver disease, kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis), hemolytic anemia, pernicious anemia, anemia that has not been diagnosed by a doctor and confirmed with laboratory testing, an infection, or alcoholism.
RARICAP TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. RARICAP TABLET is not recommended for use in children below 6 years of age and below 22 kg. The most common side effects of RARICAP TABLET are nausea, vomiting, dark stools, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms bother you.
