PREDACE is used to manage various adrenal gland problems, including adrenal insufficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and nonsuppurative thyroiditis. It is also effective in managing autoimmune and inflammatory conditions affecting different parts of the body, such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriasis, optic neuritis, uveitis, asthma, and certain blood disorders like leukemia. Additionally, it helps manage inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as tuberculous meningitis in the brain. This medication is also prescribed for managing severe allergic reactions, including drug-induced hypersensitivity, atopic dermatitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and allergic rhinitis. It can prevent graft rejection after organ transplantation and support kidney health by reducing protein loss in the urine or increasing urine output in conditions like nephrotic syndrome. It contains a medicine called Methylprednisolone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. Take PREDACE as advised by your physician. Do not stop taking PREDACE or reduce the dose of methylprednisolone without consulting your doctor as it may lead to unpleasant withdrawal symptoms, especially if you are taking higher dose of methylprednisolone. Before taking PREDACE inform your doctor if you any viral infections, or any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have hypertension, diabetes, thyroid deficiency, glaucoma, skin problem, gut inflammation, muscle problems, osteoporosis, any types of tumors or cancer in the body, depression or any other forms of mental illness.
