PHYTORAL OINTMENT contains Ketoconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used in adults to manage fungal and yeast infections which may appear on the skin of the hands, feet, genital area, trunk, groin, scalp, face, chest or back.
PHYTORAL OINTMENT is not recommended for eye infections. Before applying PHYTORAL OINTMENT, inform your doctor if you are using a cream, ointment or lotion that contains a steroid.
PHYTORAL OINTMENT can be used if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, however, consult your doctor for advice. PHYTORAL OINTMENT is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age).
The most common side effects of applying PHYTORAL OINTMENT are burning sensation, skin redness, or itching. If any of the symptoms worsen, contact your doctor.
