PENRIDOL TABLET contains Penfluridol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antipsychotic agents. PENRIDOL TABLET is used to manage certain behavioral disorders such as schizophrenia, which is a serious mental disorder that affects a person's ability to think, feel/behave clearly.
PENRIDOL TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Penfluridol. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from impairment of consciousness due to coma or use of certain substances.
Before taking PENRIDOL TABLET inform your doctor, if you suffer from convulsions, and/or have a history of blood clotting disorder, heart disease, liver disease, and/or kidney disease.
PENRIDOL TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. The medicine is advised to be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). It is also advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (suffering from dementia) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking PENRIDOL TABLET are tardive dyskinesia (disorder that involves involuntary movements), extrapyramidal symptoms (medicine induced movement disorders) such as tremors, muscle contraction, and/or sedation. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
