PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION contains Pemetrexed which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticancer agents. It is used to manage advanced stages of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It can be used as a management option to control cancer progression in patients who have failed to respond adequately to conventional therapies.
PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION is also used to manage malignant cancer of pleural membrane (a protective layer surrounding the lungs), called as pleural mesothelioma. It is mostly used in combination with other anti-cancer medicines (such as cisplatin, carboplatin) to achieve better results.
Before receiving PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any lung, liver, kidney or heart problems or a previous history of the same. You must also inform your doctor if you have fluid accumulation in the lungs or recently received or planning to receive any radiation therapy or vaccination in the upcoming days as a precaution.
PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women and in children aged below 18 years. Men and women receiving PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION must use a suitable contraceptive method to avoid pregnancy while undergoing therapy with PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION and for until 6 months after stopping the therapy.
The most common side effects of receiving PEMETERO 100MG INJECTION are increased infections, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, tiredness, weight loss, changes in taste, skin rash, hair loss and mouth ulcers. Contact your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.
