PARAMET TABLET is a combination of Metoclopramide and Paracetamol which belong to the groups of medicines called Antiemetics and Analgesics respectively. It is used to manage pain, nausea and vomiting associated with migraine attacks.
Migraine is a neurological condition that is thought to be caused by the widening of certain blood vessels in the brain, causing an intense, throbbing, recurrent headache on one side of the head, usually around the temple region, but sometimes it can start in the forehead, around the eye or at the back of the head. There are many symptoms that may accompany migraines; nausea (feeling sick) is one of the most common.
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking PARAMET TABLET because it might make you feel dizzy or sleepy. PARAMET TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with stomach and/or digestive tract bleeding, intestinal blockage, recent stomach and/or intestine surgery, phaeochromocytoma (a rare tumour of the adrenal gland) or epilepsy.
PARAMET TABLET should only be used in pregnant women if necessary and should be avoided in breastfeeding women. Before using PARAMET TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any history of liver or kidney problems, glutathione deficiency, hemolytic anaemia, dehydration, malnutrition for a long period, breast cancer or Parkinson's disease.
PARAMET TABLET is generally not recommended for use in children under the age of one year.PARAMET TABLET should also be used cautiously with elderly patients. The most common side effects of PARAMET TABLET are headache, dizziness, indigestion, drowsiness, tiredness, restlessness and diarrhoea. If any of these symptoms worsen, consult your doctor.
