OVAFEM TABLET contains Dehydroepiandrosterone which belongs to the group of medicines called Steroid hormones. It is used for women with diminished ovarian reserve and poor responders undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). OVAFEM TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with any form of cancer or at risk of cancer (such as breast cancer and prostate cancer). It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, kidney impairment and ischaemic heart disease. Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during management with OVAFEM TABLET as it may increase the risk of mania. OVAFEM TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. The side effects of taking OVAFEM TABLET are oily skin, facial hair growth, acne, hair loss and voice deepening. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
