ORLIDIP 120 CAPSULE contains Orlistat, which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-obesity agents. It is used for weight reduction in adults (18 years and above) who are overweight and have a body mass index (BMI) of 28 or more. Obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. A body mass index (BMI) over 25 is considered overweight, and over 30 is obese.
Before taking ORLIDIP 120 CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have cholestasis, malnutrition syndrome, diabetes, or kidney disease. ORLIDIP 120 CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. ORLIDIP 120 CAPSULE is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age), therefore consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
The most common side effects of taking ORLIDIP 120 CAPSULE are flatulence, with or without oily spotting, sudden bowel motions, fatty, oily, or soft stools, and stomach pain. Contact your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a long duration.
