It is used in children to manage bacterial infections of the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and urinary tract. Bacterial infections are generally characterized by fever, extreme tiredness, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, groin or elsewhere, headache, nausea or vomiting.
Ofloxacin works by binding to and inhibiting bacterial enzymes required in DNA synthesis, thus interrupting DNA replication and managing bacterial cell multiplication.
