NITROPLUS INJECTION contains Nitroglycerin (Glyceryl trinitrate) which belongs to the group of medicines called Vasodilators. It is used in adults to control blood pressure during operations or to improve blood flow during and after heart operations.

NITROPLUS INJECTION can also be given to you after you have had a heart attack or to control angina attacks (sudden pains in chest) when other medicines have failed to work. Angina is a type of chest pain occurring because of reduced blood flow to the heart. Symptoms includes chest pain, difficulty in breathing, dizziness, tiredness etc.

NITROPLUS INJECTION is not recommended to use in patients who have heart or lung diseases, decreased blood pressure, increased pressure within skull, bleeding in brain, anemia, low levels of oxygen in blood or if you are taking medicines to manage erectile function (sildenafil) or increased pressure in the lungs (riociguat).

NITROPLUS INJECTION is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered clearly necessary by the doctor. NITROPLUS INJECTION is not intended for use in breast-feeding women as it may pass through breast milk and children. Take your doctor’s advice before receiving NITROPLUS INJECTION.

Before receiving NITROPLUS INJECTION inform your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney diseases, malnourishment, low body temperature, thyroid diseases, closed angle glaucoma (increased pressure inside eyes).

Most common side effects of receiving NITROPLUS INJECTION includes headache, abnormal heartrate, weakness, drowsiness, dizziness (while getting up from sitting position), weakness. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms doesn’t improve or worsen.
