NIFECAINE ORGANO GEL is a combination of Lignocaine and Nifedipine, which belongs to the group of medicines called Local anaesthetics and Calcium channel blockers. It is used to relieve pain and relax muscles during the management or examination of anal fissures, thrombosed external haemorrhoids, post-haemorrhoidectomy, anal sphincter hypertonia, etc.
An anal fissure is a small cut or tear in the delicate lining of the anus that occurs when passing hard or large stools, causing pain and bleeding during bowel movements. Sometimes the pain caused by the anal fissure leads to contraction of the muscle that controls bowel movements and frequent bowel movements.
Before applying NIFECAINE ORGANO GEL, inform your doctor if you have severely injured mucosa, inflammation of the areas in the rectum, diabetes, liver or kidney cardiac insufficiency, etc. Pregnant (especially during the first trimester) and breastfeeding women should use NIFECAINE ORGANO GEL with caution.
NIFECAINE ORGANO GEL is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age) and should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before applying.
