NICOSTAR 2MG INJECTION contains Nicorandil which belongs to the group of medicines called Antianginal drugs. It is used in adults for the management of unstable angina. Angina pectoris is a pain syndrome due to imbalance in demand and supply of oxygen in a portion of the heart muscle.
Prior to the management, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to understand your existing condition.
Avoid consumption of alcohol during management with NICOSTAR 2MG INJECTION, as it may reduce your blood pressure even more.
Before receiving NICOSTAR 2MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver or heart problems, dehydration or high blood pressure in lung vessels. NICOSTAR 2MG INJECTION is not recommended for use among pregnant or breastfeeding women.
NICOSTAR 2MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in children due to lack of safety data and it should be used with caution in elderly patients.
NICOSTAR 2MG INJECTION may cause side effects such as headache, nausea, vomiting and upper abdominal discomfort. Inform your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
