NEUROCETAM INJECTION contains Piracetam which belongs to the group of medicines known as Nootropics. It is used in the management of myoclonus of cortical origin in combination with other anti-myoclonic therapies. Myoclonus is a sudden, involuntary muscle jerk, shake or spasm that may be caused due to disturbance in the brain and nervous system.
Before receiving NEUROCETAM INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have severe kidney disease, liver problems, gastrointestinal ulcer, history of cerebral hemorrhage, severe bleeding and are undergoing any major surgery including dental surgery.
NEUROCETAM INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women unless advised by the doctor.
NEUROCETAM INJECTION is not recommended for use in children (below 16 years of age). It should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.
The common side effects of receiving NEUROCETAM INJECTION are abnormal movements, nervousness and weight gain. Inform your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
