NEOSOL 5MG TABLET contains Trioxsalen which belongs to the group of medicines called Antipsoriatic agents. It is used in the management of vitiligo and psoriasis along with UV light.
Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder of the skin that causes loss of skin colour in patches. Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes rashes with itchy, scaly spots on the knees, elbows, trunk, and scalp.
Your doctor may recommend you take relevant tests to understand your existing condition. After taking the medicine avoid exposure to the sun even through a window or glass for at least 8 hours.
Before taking NEOSOL 5MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have or had an allergic reaction to sunlight, porphyria, heart or blood vessel disease, eye problems (cataract), infections, stomach pain, skin cancer or melanoma, and lupus erythematosus.
NEOSOL 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. The safety and effectiveness of this medicine in breastfeeding women have not been established yet.
The safety and effectiveness of NEOSOL 5MG TABLET in elderly patients had not been established yet. The most common side effects of taking NEOSOL 5MG TABLET are itching, irritation and nausea. Consult your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital if any of the symptoms worsen.
