MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET contains Sodium Aminosalicylate which belongs to the group of medicines called Antitubercular agents. It is used to manage tuberculosis that cannot be controlled by other medicines.

Tuberculosis is a serious bacterial infection caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is characterized by persistent cough with mucus, blood-stained phlegm, shortness of breath, weight loss, fever, extreme tiredness, stomach pain, headache and fits.

Take MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET for the stipulated duration instructed by your doctor even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy to achieve better results. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.

Before taking MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have HIV infection, stomach ulcer, thyroid problems or high blood pressure.

MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET should be used in pregnant women only if it is considered necessary by the physician. It is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. However, consult your doctor for advice.

During management with MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET, your doctor will closely monitor your liver functions and thyroid functions to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.

The most common side effects of taking MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, giddiness, stomach pain, bloating and skin rashes. Inform your doctor if they trouble you.
