MONOGUARD SHAMPOO is a combination of Sertaconazole and Zinc pyrithione which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal and Antimicrobial agents. It is used to manage seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp in adults.
Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. It causes scaly patches, inflamed skin and stubborn dandruff. It usually affects oily areas of the body, such as the face, sides of the nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids and chest.
Your doctor might want you to drink plenty of water during the management as hydrating the body may reduce the number of flakes on the scalp.
MONOGUARD SHAMPOO is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 12 years of age.
