MIDAPIC 5MG INJECTION contains Midazolam, which belongs to the group of medicines called central nervous system (CNS) depressants. It is used as a general anaesthetic (medications that put you in a sleep-like state before surgery) in adults.
It is also used in children and adults as preoperative sedation or conscious sedation (depressed level of consciousness during which a patient retains control over his protective reflexes and can respond) before the short diagnostic or endoscopic procedure and for induction of general anaesthesia before administration of another anaesthetic agent.
Avoid consuming alcohol while receiving MIDAPIC 5MG INJECTION. Do not receive MIDAPIC 5MG INJECTION if you have breathing difficulties. Before receiving MIDAPIC 5MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, heart diseases, liver problems, a history of drug abuse, sleep apnoea syndrome and myasthenia gravis.
MIDAPIC 5MG INJECTION is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless considered clearly necessary. It should be used with caution in elderly patients. MIDAPIC 5MG INJECTION cause common side effects such as hiccups, cough, nausea and vomiting. If any of these symptoms worsen, contact your doctor for advice.
