METROHEX PLUS GEL is a combination of Chlorhexidine and Metronidazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimicrobial agents. It is used to manage skin inflammation caused due to skin infections, rosacea, minor burns and scalds, sunburn, scratches or abrasions. It can also be used to manage skin infections.
Apply a thin layer of METROHEX PLUS GEL on the affected areas. Avoid contact of this medicine with your eyes, mouth, ears, nose or with open wounds. METROHEX PLUS GEL should be used on the face only if instructed by the physician. Avoid exposing the managed skin areas towards direct sun light or other light sources.
Before using METROHEX PLUS GEL inform your doctor if you have any blood problems or any upcoming surgery on your brain, spinal cord or ears. You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution.
The most common side effects of using this medicine are skin dryness, redness, mild irritation, itching or burning sensation and metallic taste in mouth. Consult your doctor of any of these side effects worsens.
