Mederma Gel is a skin care gel used to visibly reduce scars resulting from injury, burns, surgery, acne or cuts. It contains allium cepa extract and allantoin as active ingredients which help in healing scars.
Allium cepa and allantoin reduce neoangiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels) in hypertrophic scars and keloids (thick raised scars), resulting in clinical improvement of skin lesions.
Always use Mederma Gel as advised by you doctor. Make sure any stitches have been removed before applying. Do not apply it on open wounds (broken skin), deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns.
