Allantoin is used as a moisturizing agent and skin protectant and helps to soften the skin. This property helps skin to heal more quickly and to bind moisture more effectively. Allium cepa bulb extract has antioxidant properties and can reduce scars and softens skin. Panthenol penetrates the skin and promotes wound healing and the formation of new tissue. Always use Mederma New Advanced Plus Scar Gel as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. It should be evenly applied and gently rubbed onto the scar once a day for 8 weeks on new scars, and once a day for 3-6 months for existing scars. Apply as soon as soon as your wound has closed.
