MECONERV Z SYRUP is a combination of Biotin, Lysine, Methylcobalamin, Niacinamide, Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), and Zinc Gluconate which belongs to the group of medicines called Nutritional Supplements. It is used to manage peripheral neuropathy.
Peripheral neuropathy is a condition that occurs due to damage to the nerves outside the brain and the spinal cord. It is characterised by symptoms such as pain, a pins-and-needles sensation, numbness, and weakness.
Methylcobalamin is a form of Vitamin B12 that is essential for growth, cell multiplication, blood cell synthesis, and the synthesis of various nerve components with profound neurological effects. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a weak anticancer agent, an antioxidant, and a calcium modulator. It improves energy status and inhibits cell death in oxygen-deficient tissues.
MECONERV Z SYRUP is not recommended for use if you are allergic to biotin, lysine, methylcobalamin, niacinamide, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), or zinc gluconate. In patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or chronic kidney disease, MECONERV Z SYRUP should be used with caution.
In pregnant and breastfeeding women, MECONERV Z SYRUP should be used with caution. It should be used with caution in children (below 4 years) and elderly patients (above 70 years). Consult your doctor before taking it.
The common side effects associated with the use of MECONERV Z SYRUP are generalised pain, infection, peripheral vascular disorder (blockage of blood vessels outside the brain and heart), indigestion, pain in the tongue, muscle pain, and stinging and burning sensations. Contact your doctor or a nearby hospital if any of the conditions worsen.
