LOTEL EYE OINTMENT contains Loteprednol which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to manage post-operative inflammation and pain following eye surgery.
Before using LOTEL EYE OINTMENT inform your doctor if you have glaucoma, any eye infection, or recently had cataract surgery. LOTEL EYE OINTMENT should be used with caution in pregnant women only if advised by the doctor. LOTEL EYE OINTMENT should be used with caution among breastfeeding mothers. LOTEL EYE OINTMENT should be used with caution in children (from birth to 11 years of age) and in elderly patients.
Your doctor may advise you to avoid contact lenses and monitor the pressure inside your eyes during management with LOTEL EYE OINTMENT. The most common side effects associated with use of LOTEL EYE OINTMENT are inflammation in the anterior chamber of the eye, eye pain and foreign body sensation in the eye. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms bothers you.
