LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET contains Donepezil which belongs to the group of medicines called Cholinesterase inhibitors. It is indicated for the management of mild to moderately severe Alzheimer’s dementia.
Alzheimer's disease is a brain disorder that causes dementia (a group of symptoms that affect the memory, thinking and social abilities of a person) by destroying the memory and other important mental functions in the brain which is characterized by memory loss, confusion, and behavioral changes.
Before taking LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Donepezil, have asthma, heart, kidney, or liver disease.
LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have severe liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking medicine.
LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless it is considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET.
The safety and effectiveness of LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET in pediatric patients have not been established.
The most common side effects of taking LAPEZIL 10MG TABLET are diarrhoea, feeling sick, tiredness, difficulty in sleeping, common cold, loss of appetite, hallucinations, and aggressive behaviour. Consult your doctor if any of these above side effects get worse.
