KOLIGESIC TABLET is a combination of Dicyclomine and Paracetamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antispasmodics and Analgesics, respectively. KOLIGESIC TABLET is used to provide relief from spasmodic pain and discomfort due to biliary colic (abdominal pain), intestinal colic (intestinal pain), renal colic (sharp pain due to kidney dysfunction), and spasmodic dysmenorrhea (sharp pelvic pain at the start of menstrual flow) in affected individuals.
KOLIGESIC TABLET is also used to provide relief from the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and functional bowel disease.
KOLIGESIC TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to dicyclomine, and paracetamol. It is also not recommended for use in patients with liver problems such as severe hepatic insufficiency and in patients with a history of known idiosyncrasy (adverse effect) to dicyclomine.
Before taking KOLIGESIC TABLET, inform your doctor if you have/ suspected of having glaucoma (increased eye pressure), prostatic hypertrophy (prostate gland enlargement), Gilbert’s syndrome (inherited liver disorder), liver problems (such as mild to moderate hepatic insufficiency), and/or kidney problems (such as severe renal insufficiency).
KOLIGESIC TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. KOLIGESIC TABLET is not recommended for use in children & adolescents (aged below 12 years) and in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before taking KOLIGESIC TABLET.
The most common side effects of taking KOLIGESIC TABLET are hypersensitivity reaction (immune mediated reaction), dry mouth, stomach upset, bloating, flatulence, vomiting, and/or constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
