KINPRIDE SR 3MG TABLET contains Cinitapride which belongs to the group of medicines called Gastro-prokinetic agents. KINPRIDE SR 3MG TABLET is used to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease and functional gastrointestinal motility disorders (disease marked by persistent and recurring gastrointestinal symptoms) in affected individuals.
KINPRIDE SR 3MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Cinitapride. It is also not recommended for use in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding/obstruction/perforation and in patients with a history of neuroleptic-induced tardive dyskinesia (condition marked by involuntary movements of head, neck, trunk or limbs).
Before taking KINPRIDE SR 3MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have intolerance to certain sugars (such as lactose), liver disease (such as primary/secondary liver tumors, hepatocellular carcinoma) and/or kidney disease (such as acute renal injury/failure).
KINPRIDE SR 3MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is also not recommended for use in children & adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking KINPRIDE SR 3MG TABLET are abdominal discomfort, nausea and/or diarrhea. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
