KIMET XL 25MG TABLET contains Metoprolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensives.  It is used in adults to manage essential hypertension (persistently high blood pressure, that can show symptoms like headache, sweating, fast heartbeat or throbbing sensation).

KIMET XL 25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with certain heart diseases and should be used with caution in patients having liver diseases. KIMET XL 25MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding woman.

Safety and effectiveness of KIMET XL 25MG TABLET in children (less than 6 years of age) have not been established so, consult your child’s doctor for advice. KIMET XL 25MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients.

The most common side effects of taking KIMET XL 25MG TABLET are tiredness, dizziness, depression, diarrhea, shortness of breath, slow heartbeat and rash. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms are not improving.
