KANAMAC 500MG INJECTION contains Kanamycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage tuberculosis with other antituberculosis drugs.
Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection spread through inhalation of droplets from the cough or sneeze of an infected person. Symptoms include persistent cough (sometimes with blood), weight loss, night sweats, fever, tiredness, fatigue, loss of appetite, swelling in the neck.
KANAMAC 500MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with asthma, kidney disease, myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness), parkinsonism (a movement disorder). Consult your doctor before receiving it.
KANAMAC 500MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
KANAMAC 500MG INJECTION should be used with caution in premature infants, new-born babies and in elderly patients due to decrease in kidney function. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
The most common side effects after receiving KANAMAC 500MG INJECTION are skin rash, sudden loss of weight, diarrhoea, gas and vomiting. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
