KAMIPOX 50 TABLET contains Amoxapine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidepressants. It is used to provide relief from depression symptoms with neurotic (depression in emotionally unstable individuals) or reactive depressive disorder (depression due to external factors like stress) including psychotic (depression that requires hospitalization) and endogenous depression (depression that occurs without any cause). It is also used to manage depression accompanied by anxiety or agitation.
Depression is a type of mood disorder that leads to a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest which may worsen with time. It is generally characterized by symptoms such as sadness, tearfulness, emptiness, hopelessness, sleeplessness, anxiety, agitation, irritability, and/or frustration.
KAMIPOX 50 TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to amoxapine and/or dibenzoazepine compounds. It is also not recommended for use in patients in the recovery phase following myocardial infarction (heart attack).
Before taking KAMIPOX 50 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have a major depressive disorder, manic depression, schizophrenia, liver or kidney impairment, angle-closure glaucoma or history of urinary retention.
KAMIPOX 50 TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women which is also used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). Consult your doctor for advice before taking the medicine.
The common side effects associated with the use of KAMIPOX 50 TABLET are drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, headache and increased appetite. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
