ISOLIN 2MG INJECTION contains Isoprenaline which belongs to the group of medicines called Sympathomimetics. It is used for the management of slow heart rate in patients who are waiting for the insertion of a pacemaker or when the use of pacemaker is contraindicated.
It is also used in sudden fainting with loss of consciousness caused by a slowing of heart rate, also called as Stokes-Adams syndrome. Your doctor might want you to take certain tests prior to the management with this medicine.
ISOLIN 2MG INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have certain heart rhythm disorders, forms of angina pectoris or digitalis intoxication, heart is stressed (atrial or ventricular hyperexcitability), heart attack, chest pain or irregular heartbeat (ventricular arrhythmia) that requires management.
Before receiving ISOLIN 2MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have kidney, heart problems, diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, convulsive disorders or low blood volume. It should be used with caution in pregnant women. ISOLIN 2MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. The common side effects of ISOLIN 2MG INJECTION are nausea, headache, hot flashes. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve.
