IMAX XT DROPS contains Ferrous ascorbate and Folic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Hematinics. It is used in children to manage iron deficiency anemia and blood loss.
Anemia is when your body can't produce enough of haemoglobin (a substance in red blood cells that enables them to carry oxygen), due to insufficient iron.
IMAX XT DROPS is not recommended to be taken if you have vitamin B12 deficiency, blood disorder, recurrent blood transfusions, stomach ulcer or other digestive disorders or anemia that is not due to iron deficiency. Before taking IMAX XT DROPS, inform your doctor if you had or have folate dependent tumour
or if you had all or part of the stomach removed.
The most common side effects of taking IMAX XT DROPS are constipation, diarrhea, nausea, passing dark stools, pain in abdomen, etc. If any of the symptoms worsen, call your doctor.
