HEPATREAT INFUSION contains L-Ornithine L-Aspartate which belongs to the group of medicines called Amino Acids. It is used to manage latent and prominent hepatic encephalopathy (decline in brain function as a result of liver failure) and liver cirrhosis (condition in which your liver is scarred and permanently damaged).
During management with HEPATREAT INFUSION, your doctor might advise you to undertake blood investigations before and during management such as kidney and liver function test to manage the risk of any unusual effects.
Avoid consuming alcohol while receiving HEPATREAT INFUSION. It is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney function impairment (renal failure). Consult your doctor before receiving it.
HEPATREAT INFUSION
should be used with caution in patients suffering from severe liver damage. HEPATREAT INFUSION is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women unless clearly advised by the doctor.
The common side effects of receiving HEPATREAT INFUSION are nausea, vomiting, cough, muscle cramps and diarrhoea. Inform your doctor immediately if any of the side effect worsens or persist for a long period of time.
